Multimedia Tools

In addition to BoxerApps, users might find other multimedia tools useful. The list of technologies below encompasses applications that are freely available on the Internet and are not included in Pacific's BoxerApps.

• Screencast-O-Matic - is a screencasting software that allows you create a video of anything you see on your computer screen accompanied by a voice narration. A free online version allows for 15 minutes of recording time. You can find helpful videos on how to use this tool at Screencast-O-Matic Help Videos.
• Audacity - is a free and easy-to-use audio editing and recording application. In addition to recording live audio, it also allows you to convert tapes, records, and CDs into digital recordings. Read Audacity Manual and Tutorials to get started.
• VLC - is a free open-source multimedia player. It can stream audio and video, play most multimedia files as well as DVD, Audio CD, VCD and convert audio and video into a variety of formats. Quick Start Guide and Documentation located at VLC Help Wiki.
• iMovie - is a free Mac-based and iOS (iPhone, iPad, iPad Mini and iPod Touch) video editing software. It provides the basic, no-frills editing tools needed to put together a movie from a set of video clips. Additionally, it has integrated sharing options that automatically uploads your movie directly to your YouTube account. The iMovie Manual (pdf) is available online.
