What is CommonKnowledge?
CommonKnowledge, Pacific University's institutional repository, is a website dedicated to openly sharing the scholarly and creative work of Pacific University students, faculty, and staff and their collaborators from around the world.
How can I use CommonKnowledge?
Faculty can:
- Share publications, like academic papers, white papers, technical reports, and program
evaluations - Share conference-related materials, such as presentations (slides, etc), research posters, and conference papers
- Create and/or work as an editor on a journal
- We currently publish the following faculty-driven journals: Health & Interprofessional Practice, Interprofessional Optometry, Interface, and the International Journal of Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities
- Create and share Open Educational Resources (OERs), which help defray the increasing cost of student textbooks
- Create image or other media collections, like a collection of photos designed for use in classroom teaching
- Share datasets, like the results of research and/or grant-funded projects
- Share collaborative scholarship with Pacific undergraduate or graduate students, such as articles, conference presentations, and datasets
- Nominate student work for inclusion
- The Senior Project Award is given yearly to a student nominated by a faculty member for outstanding work on a senior project or theses.
Undergraduate Students can:
- Share exemplary academic work with the support of a Pacific faculty member, like eBooks written as part of a class project, student publications, and datasets
- Share culminating projects with the support of a Pacific faculty member, such as capstone projects and senior theses
Graduate Students can:
- Share publications, like academic papers, white papers, technical reports, and program
evaluations - Share conference-related material, such as conference presentations (slides, etc), research posters, and conference papers
- Share culminating projects with the support of a Pacific faculty member, like capstones, theses, and dissertations
- Share collaborative scholarship with Pacific faculty members, like articles, conference presentations, and datasets
External Partners can:
- Host and publish journals (both peer-reviewed and non-peer-reviewed)
- Host and publish conference materials
