We buy library materials on request!

  • This service is available to all current Pacific University faculty, students, and staff. This includes those teaching, working, and learning at the Forest Grove, Hillsboro, Eugene, and Woodburn campuses, and distance learners and faculty!
  • Use it to request books and more, for research, learning, teaching, or just for fun.

Students

  • We purchase resources for your learning, research, and recreation.
  • Course textbook requests may be filled if they are available as ebooks that the library can buy. This depends on availability and price. If we able to buy a library ebook for a textbook you requested, we will notify you and your instructor.
  • We are unable to purchase print textbooks on request.
  • Some requested resources may not be available due to cost or publisher restrictions. If we can’t fill a request, we will let you know.
  • If purchasing is not possible, requested resources may be available through Interlibrary Loan.

Instructors, Faculty, Staff

  • We purchase resources for your research, teaching, and recreation.
    • You can request ebook versions of textbooks. Depending on availability and price, limited or unrestricted access may be possible.
    • If an ebook is not available, and you would like to post excerpts on Moodle, check our copyright guidelines. We may be able to purchase a print copy for scanning.
    • You can also request physical resources to be placed on course reserve.
    • If you need a streaming video for instruction, please review our guidelines on requesting and accessing digital media before placing a request.
  • Some requested resources may not be available due to cost or publisher restrictions. If we can’t fill a request, we will let you know.
  • If purchasing is not possible, requested resources may be available through Interlibrary Loan.
