SensusAccess Document Conversion Service

SensusAccess is an alternate media and document conversion tool for educational institutions that allows you to automatically convert documents into a range of alternate media including audio books (MP3 and DAISY), e-books (EPUB, EPUB3 and Mobi), digital Braille, digital large-print, and BeeLine Reader. The service can also remediate documents such as image-only PDF files, JPG pictures, Microsoft PowerPoint presentations, and LaTeX projects and deliver them into more accessible formats.

Conversion of Copyrighted Materials

Copyright law of the United States (Title 17, U.S. Code) governs the making of reproductions of copyrighted material; this includes use of the SensusAccess service. When converting copyrighted materials through this service, you must either (a) own the copyright of the work you are converting, (b) be using the material under fair use or, (c) be using the material under the disabilities provisions of U.S. copyright law. The resulting file will likely have the same copyright restrictions as the original.
