History
The Tim & Cathy Tran Library on the Forest Grove campus opened in 2005, replacing the Harvey W. Scott Memorial Library, which had been dedicated in 1967. In 2017, the library was named for Khiem “Tim” ’74 and Thuy “Cathy” Tran ’74 in 2017 in honor of their accomplishments and commitment, and generosity to furthering the education of students at Pacific University. In addition to diverse collections supporting all colleges within the university, the Tim & Cathy Tran Library is also home to the Center for Educational Technology and Curricular Innovation and the Pacific University Press.
Our lounge chairs and coffee tables came from trees on the Forest Grove campus. Art from Kathrin Cawein, Jeffrey Chang (’73), Jack McLarty, and other artists decorates the library.
The library is a Federal Depository and we provide access to some government information.
